Article on collaborative eyewitness interviews in Frontiers in Psychology
ALLP members Annelies Vredeveldt and Peter van Koppen have published an article on collaborative eyewitness interviews in the scientific journal Frontiers in Psychology. The article describes an experiment in which they investigated whether pairs of eyewitnesses can be instructed to collaborate more effectively when recounting a witnessed criminal incident. The short answer is: no! Pairs who received instructions on how to remember together, behaved exactly the same as pairs who did not receive instructions. The study was preregistered and the article has been published fully open access.
