Dr. Annelies Vredeveldt is rechtspsycholoog aan de afdeling Strafrecht en Criminologie van de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Ze studeerde in 2007 summa cum laude af in de sociale wetenschappen aan het University College Utrecht en ontving de University College Alumni Association Award voor sociale betrokkenheid en academische excellentie. Vervolgens behaalde ze in 2008 aan de Universiteit Maastricht haar masterdiploma in de rechtspsychologie, waar ze de Top 3% award ontving. Ze promoveerde in 2011 aan de Universiteit van York in Engeland op een onderzoek naar het verbeteren van het geheugen van ooggetuigen. Voor haar proefschrift ontving ze zowel de American Psychology-Law Society Dissertation Award (eerste plaats) als de Britse Social Psychology Section PhD Award.
